Seek medical treatment within 14 days of the accident. Florida law says in order for your Florida no fault insurance, your Personal Injury Protection coverage (“PIP”), to fully apply. PIP is sometime referred to as “no fault insurance.”

If you don’t have car insurance, your health insurance will pay. You can seek treatment whenever. But under Florida law, if you’re in an automobile accident and it’s involving PIP or no fault, 14 days is kind of a magic number.
