Incident reports are prepared by stores and businesses. You are not necessarily entitled to get a copy of that incident report once you fill it out. It is a helpful piece of paperwork to document how the accident happened, where it happened, and when it happened.

My advice to my clients is — if you’re able to do so and you’re comfortable doing so, you should feel free to contribute to the report.

But — it depends on how hurt you are. You take care of yourself first. If you need to seek medical care and attention, and that’s what you want to do first, do that.
