Lost wages – can I recover them?

Yes. If the other driver is at fault, that driver is responsible for all of your damages. That includes your lost wages. PIP coverage will pay you 60% of your lost wages, even if you’re at fault in the accident.

So, in a car accident in Florida that’s the fault of someone else, you would immediately and automatically recover from your own insurance company 60% of your missed wages. And, of course, you’re entitled to recover all of the rest of your missed wages from the at-fault driver.
